No stranger to science fiction and drama programs, prior to directing the pilot episode of VR.5, Michael Katleman honed his sci-fi skills directing episodes of X-FILES and "Quantum Leap." He also directed Emmy-nominated episodes of "Northern Exposure," "L.A. Law" and "I'll Fly Away" as well as numerous other television movies, including "The Spider & the Fly" and "A Fight for Jesse." Katleman made his directing debut on another John Sacret Young series, "China Beach." Prior to this, his experiences included work on the films "Predator" and "Commando."
